What is branding and why do you need it for your blog?
This was a question that I asked myself when I first started doing my research into branding.
Your brand is an understanding of your audience, a plan for your business, your focus, strategy and the key to becoming a great Influencer which in turn will make your blog a huge success. This stage takes a bit a time but the information that you will gather is extremely valuable, and you will help you to shine out in the crowd.
What the hell is Branding and why do Bloggers need it?
When I decided that I wanted to make a residual income from my knowledge and passion. I had heard, met and read about everyday people making hundreds and thousands, heck even millions from blogging and I wanted some.
I had tried writing a few blog posts putting a few ads on them sitting back, and nothing happened. Then I tried a bit of advertising which I must admit I’ve had some great results, created a huge buzz with no end goal in mind, so they came they saw, they left, and I made no money, zero, nada.
I am sure there are many of you in the same boat as I was plus my other problem was where to start and begin.
So back to the question “What the hell is Branding and why do bloggers need it?”
GREAT BRANDING IS ABOUT CONNECTING WITH YOUR AUDIENCE & BUILDING TRUST
Your Brand is what you want people to see and feel about you. When done correctly your audience really connects and cares about you and as a result, they will support you, promote you and spend money with you.
I’m not a narcissist but this is the level of love that you need to invoke in your followers. They should be looking forward to what you have to say and offer.
Ultimately, you need to become an influencer
So before you can even think about blogging you need to work out what is your brand, what is the feeling you want to spark in your target audience. Honestly, I have helped many businesses, coaches, bloggers try to make money from their websites and some have failed because they couldn’t be bothered to do their branding no one clicked the links, followed them, subscribed to them, buy from them etc.
Their failure all boiled down to the fact that they had no connection or trust with their audience, they had no influence. Hey, I must have done it right because you’re reading this… Good job Tatty, woo hoo!!
